Carnival parade in Schwangau

Year after year the big carnival parade in Schwangau attracts thousands of visitors to the village of royal castles. For generations, this place has been considered a carnival stronghold far beyond the borders of the region.

Numerous associations and delegations from surrounding villages and the neighbouring Tyrol come to Schwangau to take part in the big parade: Music bands, foot groups and theme wagons interpret the social events of the past year in their very own way. The festive finale, according to tradition are the prince and princess on their carriage!

After the procession, restaurants, as well as the Schloßbrauhaus Schwangau, will be busy until late into the night  and invite you to join in the celebration.
